Reap Named to NH Council on Housing Stability

Joshua Reap

Concord, NH – Joshua Reap, president and CEO of Associated Builders and Contractors New Hampshire/Vermont Chapter (ABC), has been named by Governor Chris Sununu to be the New Hampshire builders representative on the newly established N.H. Council on Housing Stability.

In this role, he will work with a distinguished cross section of leaders to update the statewide homelessness plan, and address broader issues with housing affordability and stability.

“The significant challenges of homelessness, low vacancy rate and rising housing costs threaten the quality of life in all New Hampshire communities,” Reap said.

Reap  has 20 years of experience in construction and public policy, and is familiar with the regulatory and workforce challenges that in part contribute to the rising costs of construction.

“Our builders are on the front line of adding new stock to the housing market,” he added. “There are challenges associated with construction that may not immediately come to mind, such as workforce shortages. We’ll bring that perspective and creative ideas to the council discussions.”

ABC NH/VT Chapter represents nearly 250 builders and industry-related firms in New Hampshire and Vermont.
