Boston – Shawmut Design and Construction announces four newly created senior executive roles across the New York Metro, New England and West regions.

Quickly pivoting to shifting market dynamics due to COVID-19, Shawmut is making significant investments in world-class talent to help reach their strategic goals, further their growth objectives and most importantly, continue to enhance client service offerings.

Michael Schumacher, senior director, Commercial Developer Division in New England, specializing in large-scale commercial projects and bringing strong construction expertise to his new role at Shawmut, will be tasked to aggressively grow the commercial sector and bring an unparalleled depth of knowledge and continuity to the clients and partners.

Michael Moylan, general superintendent in New York Metro, an award-winning builder, specializes in fast-track scheduling, management of high-risk safety activity and logistics, as well as team development. In his new role, he will lead field operations across all sectors, bolster the field operation team’s capabilities, and position Shawmut to enhance execution and client experience, navigating the challenging safety demands as a result of the pandemic.

Angela Gentry, director, marketing and business development in New York Metro, specializes in new business development, strategic solutions, and creative client-centric results. In her new role, Gentry will help grow and expand Shawmut’s market share across new and existing sectors throughout the New York Metro region with a focus on education, cultural, and healthcare.

Michael Sims, senior director, Major Projects in the West, has extensive design-build experience, is a Design-Build Professional (DBIA) and specializes in large project management with a hands-on approach to leadership. In his new role, Sims will oversee the full life cycle of projects valued at $50 million and above.
