Hamden, CT – Hoffmann Architects announced the promotion of members of its Connecticut staff.

Lawrence E. Keenan, AIA, PE, has been awarded the corporate title of vice president, in addition to his current position as director of engineering. Both a professional engineer and a registered architect, Keenan, an owner of the firm and a key part of the leadership team,  has been responsible for structural analysis and review, building envelope rehabilitation design, and construction details and specifications for 18 years.

Keenan holds two U.S. patents for precast concrete connections and is active in industry organizations leading the development of improvements to precast joint systems.

Benjamin J. Robinson, AIA, has been promoted to project architect. In the nine years since he joined Hoffmann, he was promoted from project coordinator to project manager, and finally to his current position.

A founding member of the firm’s Training and Resources Committee, he is responsible for organizing continuing education seminars for the company. With specialized experience in historic materials and construction styles, Robinson has a project list that includes the Dome of the United States Capitol, among others.

 

Michael S. Pereira, Assoc. AIA, received a promotion to senior project coordinator. After working as an intern with Hoffmann, he joined the firm full-time in 2007 as a project representative.

In 2010, he applied to the graduate program at Boston Architectural College, and while a student, he was promoted to project coordinator.

Pereira has provided design services for Middlesex Hospital, Vassar College, the State of Connecticut, and Travelers Insurance, among many other clients.
