Nancy Greenwald

West Hartford, CT – Nancy Wiegers Greenwald, a construction industry executive and attorney with more than 25 years of experience, has been named the new executive director of the Construction Institute at the University of Hartford.

She succeeds William Cianci, who has retired after 28 years with the Institute.

Greenwald has practical experience as vice president, general counsel, and chief financial officer of Greenwald Cassell Associates, Inc., a design-build firm that she helped found in 1984. She also has spent the last 27 years working on a variety of energy, public utility, and nuclear regulatory matters and construction issues.

In her capacity as an attorney she has experience representing all players in the industry, including owners, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, labor, insurers, and financial institutions.

In recent years, Greenwald has focused on arbitration and mediation, specializing in resolving construction issues, as principal of construction, Dispute Solutions, PLLC.
