Boston – Abbot Building Restoration announced that Delphi Construction of Waltham has received the prestigious Eagle and Green Award for Residential Construction by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. of Massachusetts. As a key member of the construction team, Abbot performed extensive masonry restoration of the building façades.

The award was given for the renovation of The Wyeth Cambridge, previously home to The Saint John School, an essential piece of North Cambridge life for over 100 years. After nearly a decade of neglect, Broder Properties LLC of Boston undertook a two-year project to convert the properties into a beautifully landscaped 63-unit luxury residential campus.

The scope of Abbot’s work included cleaning of the brick, repointing of the brick joints, and caulking the windows and doors after installation. Significantly, Abbot had new pre-cast stones fabricated to match the original stones in color and texture, and researched and located a new brick that matched the original brick.

The award was presented at the 22nd Annual Excellence in Construction Awards dinner, which honors the best work performed by the more than 400 members of the construction trade group.
