Landing Station
Boston – The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named STV Incorporated as a winner of a 2018 Silver Engineering Excellence Awards for its design of the Boston Landing Station.
The 2018 Engineering Excellence Awards were announced at the recent ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala with emcees Beth J. Larkin, PE, MBTA Assistant General Manager for Capital Delivery and Housamm (“Sam”) H. Sleiman, PE, CCM, MassPort Director of Capital Programs & Environmental Affairs.
STV Incorporated, with offices in Boston, was retained by the NB Development Group to design the Boston Landing Station; the project is part of an approximately $25 million public-private partnership between NB Development Group and Massachusetts transportation officials.
The station provides a vital link to the New Balance shoe and athletic apparel company’s world headquarters and the overall Boston Landing development, which encompasses 2.15 million square feet of office/lab, sports, entertainment, retail, hotel, and residential space, including practice facilities for the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics.
