Holiston, MA – Colantonio announces that it has begun the process of completing the renovation and repair of the roof at the Bristol County Jail & House of Corrections. The facility owner is the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM).
Colantonio first worked with DCAMM and the Bristol County Sherriff’s Office in 2020 to accomplish the first phase of the project, encompassing 87,700sf of roof space. This new phase will cover 150,000sf of roof.
Phase 2 of the project consists of the removal and replacement of roof systems and flashings, installation of new mechanical equipment, reinstallation of existing roof mechanical equipment and lightning protection systems, selective demolition of interior ceiling finishes, and installation of new or secured temporary ceiling finishes.
The project requires compliance with strict security requirements: All tools and materials going into and out of the building are counted and documented. Additionally, all construction personnel and jobsite visitors must pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check prior to entry.
