Boston – A topping-off ceremony was held recently for new Roxbury Crossing affordable housing development, Parcel 25 Phase 1A.

NEI General Contracting broke ground on the mixed-use development this summer which will bring 40 apartment units, retail space, office space, and community space totaling 77,500sf to the community. The property will occupy a long-vacant parcel formerly owned by MBTA at the junction of Tremont, Gurney, and Station streets.

NEI is working alongside owner Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services and architect Goody Clancy on the $16.2 million project.

This property is part of a larger development vision of nonprofit Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services designed to reestablish Roxbury Crossing as a positive gateway to Mission Hill. The design and uses of this transit-oriented development will allow it to be a place that connects the community.

The project is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2017.
