Henrico, VA – South Coast Improvement Company (SCIC) has completed renovation work and facility assessment services at Dogwood Terrace by Barclay House, a 3-story senior living community in Henrico.

Representatives of SCIC say the project reflects the firm’s continued relationship with QSL Management, which oversees the Dogwood Terrace community. The project began with SCIC providing a comprehensive property survey and facility assessment to help ownership evaluate building conditions and guide capital improvement planning decisions for the community. The assessment helped prioritize upgrades and support long-term investment planning for the property.

Following the assessment phase, SCIC completed room turns and common area renovations throughout the community. Improvements included bathroom upgrades, new paint, updated flooring, millwork enhancements, and new lighting fixtures. All work was carefully coordinated within the occupied senior living community to minimize disruption to residents and staff.

“Projects like Dogwood Terrace demonstrate how thoughtful planning and careful execution can enhance a community while residents continue to live comfortably in their homes,” said Henry Quinlan, president of SCIC. “By combining facility assessment with renovation services, we were able to help the ownership team plan strategically while delivering meaningful upgrades throughout the property.”

“QSL Management is committed to maintaining communities that provide comfort, quality, and value for our residents,” said Leland Rice, president of QSL Management. “Working with South Coast Improvement Company allowed us to evaluate the building’s needs and implement improvements that support the long-term success of Dogwood Terrace.”
