Boston – Architectural Engineers, Inc. (AEI), a WBE/DBE mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection (MEP/FP), and lighting design services firm in Boston, announced that Jeffrey Manning, PE, LEED AP has joined the firm as its electrical department head. He is a registered electrical engineer with 16 years of experience in the building industry.

Manning specializes in the design of emergency power generation, roadway and site lighting, power, interior lighting, life safety and fire alarm systems.

He is responsible for design, review, and oversight of the electrical engineering group, including review of final submittals and design documents.

Manning is currently engaged with several projects for the MBTA, Massport, the MSBA, the University of Massachusetts and DCAMM, and a variety of academic projects in the K-12 and higher education space.

He works extensively on LEED projects, master plans, existing condition reports, and design projects through construction administration. The electrical department head position requires him to play an integral role in departmental operations, engineering, and project management activities.

“AEI’s leadership is in a critical transition point as our company continues to grow. Jeff joins us at an exciting time as the needs of our electrical engineering group require an integrated technical expert and departmental manager,” said Nick Ferzacca, PE, LEED AP, chief electrical engineer. “Jeff’s experience as a senior electrical engineer in the Boston market makes him ideal for stepping in and running both the department and our ongoing projects.”
