Rockland, Mass – Integrated Builders has completed construction of EMC’s 12,000 square foot interior build out at 75 Wells Avenue in Newton, MA. Integrated Builders worked with LaFreniere Architects, Inc. to redesign EMC’s facility, provide its employees with a better atmosphere, and work environment.
Integrated Builders was selected by EMC based on their successful record of project execution. Since 2000, Integrated Builders has effectively worked with EMC on a number of other projects, including a call center at Building Four in Southborough, MA; a data center in Hopkinton, MA; and an engineering lab and data center upgrades at 4400 Computer Drive in Westborough, MA. The firm is recognized for its design-build approach, which enables clients to adapt adjustments to plans as projects progress. The full scope of the work at 75 Wells Avenue included the demolition of the existing partitions, construction of the newly designed space with high-end finishes, mechanical and HVAC systems upgrades and enhanced fire protection.
“Integrated has done a great job of pulling together a design-build team to execute this complicated project,” said John LaFreniere AIA, Principal at LaFreniere Architects. “We enjoyed partnering with such a highly-skilled team that worked efficiently and successfully through the complex MEP coordination tasks posed by EMC’s very tight schedule, and specific new office and conference room needs in a previously open space.”
EMC’s new layout incorporates a glass-front office and several open work areas that take advantage of unusually high ceilings and skylights in the space. These features are designed to foster collaboration within the company and provide ample room for corporate meetings and brainstorming sessions.
“EMC is a longtime client and we have a solid working relationship with their project management team,” said Sean Burgess, Project Manager at Integrated Builders. “Our ability to collaborate effectively with both EMC and our design-build team allowed us to meet the specific needs of our client on schedule.”
