Construction of Greentown Labs Fitout Complete

Woburn, Mass – Tocci Building Companies (Tocci) recently completed a 10,000 square foot (sf) lab fitout for Greentown Labs,  an incubation space for energy technology start-up companies located in Somerville, MA. Tocci worked with architects Robert Luchetti Associates and engineers Zade Associates to create additional incubator lab space for four subtenants: Zed/Transocean, Open Water Power, Quantum Diamond, and Dynamo Micropower.

“It was an honor working with a client who shares our spirit for innovation,” said Bud LaRosa, Chief Business Performance Officer at Tocci.  “Greentown Labs’ tenants needed an upgraded space to continue their important work and we are proud that we were able to support their mission.”

The primary goal of the project was to provide a timely renovation of Greentown Labs’ space. Since the tenants are mainly entrepreneurs that move at a fast pace, Tocci worked with the project team to fast track this task and deliver the space within their required timeframes.

Greentown Labs provides a benefit to the local business community and economy by helping to keep innovative entrepreneurs in Massachusetts. With a strategic location just outside of Downtown Boston, Greentown Labs offer 33,000 total sf of prototyping lab, co-located office space, machine shop, electronics shop, and meeting/event space to their subtenants.
