CI Honors Flow Tech’s Nichole Petersen with 2026 Collaborative Leadership Award

Hartford, CT – Flow Tech announced that Nichole Petersen, CPSM, director of marketing, recently received the 2026 Collaborative Leadership Award, presented by the Construction Institute at its Annual Dinner & Awards on June 11, at The Society Room of Hartford. The award recognizes an individual, company, or group that has actively demonstrated a commitment to the institute’s core mission of promoting cross-industry collaboration.

Representatives of the firm say that in her role, Petersen leads Flow Tech’s marketing department with energy, creativity, and vision, and that she shapes strategies that strengthen the company’s brand presence, drives customer engagement, support revenue goals, and reinforce the award-winning culture that makes Flow Tech unique. She is involved in every aspect of the organization, from strategic planning and brand communication to event management, talent development, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. She also transformed Flow Tech’s signature Flowtoberfest from a small 50-person gathering into a 230-person experience and led Demo Day, an interactive event designed to educate, connect, and inspire.

Petersen served as past president of SMPS Connecticut and was recognized nationally as Chapter President of the Year. She was also a PWC 40 Under 40 honoree, an active volunteer with ABC Connecticut, the Connecticut Building Congress and the Construction Institute, and co-founder of the Win More Work Summit, a learning experience for AEC professionals.
