From over 100 entries, 27 projects were selected, representing a full scope of landscape architecture design and planning: residential, public, rural; new design, renovations, and restorations. Winners represent work in three countries and seven states – from Chile to Arizona to Maine. Winning firms include solo practices and those with international reputations; three student winners are from University of Massachusetts and one from Harvard School of Design.

Three levels of awards are available, with the Excellence Award given only to the project meeting an outstanding level of accomplishment. Multiple Honor Awards may be given in the categories of Design, Communication, Analysis and Planning, Landmark, or Research for projects that demonstrate the best of landscape professionalism. Merit Awards are given in the same categories for projects demonstrating significant accomplishments.

Student Awards are made at the Honor and Merit levels without regard to category.
