Lincoln, RI – 2017 marks the 35th year of business for Rhode Island-based BETA Group, Inc., an engineering, landscape architecture, and planning firm headquartered in Lincoln, RI.
Originally founded in 1982 with an office of four people, the firm is now comprised of over 150 staff members with five offices throughout New England. As BETA has grown, its service offerings have also expanded. BETA now boasts nine core practice areas and utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to service clients. The firm offers civil, structural, environmental, and traffic engineering; landscape architectural and urban design; stormwater and environmental solutions; GIS/Asset Management; and Construction Services.
As part of the 35th anniversary, BETA rolled out a new icon design to accompany its logo. The rounded icon embellished with interlocking rings not only brings new life to the previous design, but is also representative of the relationships BETA maintains with its clients, as well as the integrated serviced provided by the firm.
BETA has been named to Engineering News-Record’s Top 500 Design Firms; will receive the Best of Business Award from the Hartford Business Journal later this month; and has received accolades from such industry organizations as the American Public Works Association, American Council of Engineering Companies, and Women’s Transportation Society, to name a few.
“In my 30 year tenure at BETA, I have been proud to work with some of the best engineers and landscape architects in New England,” says Frank Romeo, BETA’s CEO and President. “This milestone anniversary is a great opportunity to look back at the great success we’ve accomplished together, while also considering how we will continue to grow and assist our clients throughout the Northeast.”
The firm plans to hold several small celebrations throughout the year, including employee recognition events; celebrating long-standing client relationships; and integrating memorabilia from the past 35 years of business into their annual Employee Stock Ownership Plan celebration later this year.
