Hartford, CT – Amenta Emma Architects received the Honor Award in the Under 50 Employees category of this year’s AIA CT Business Architecture Awards for The Burgess Group in West Hartford.

The Burgess Group, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, selected Amenta Emma to design its new 7,000sf office at Blue Back Square. The company specializes in the development of healthcare reimbursement software. Its project goal was for a workplace that was beautiful, open, social, and conducive to creative thinking.

The Business Architecture Awards honor architects for solving business problems for Connecticut clients, thereby demonstrating the power of architecture to shape business performance, to improve people’s’ lives, and to provide a value-added service to clients in a business setting that far exceeds the costs of that service.
