SMRT Expands Leadership Team

Portland, ME— SMRT Architects and Engineers is pleased to announce six design professionals have been named associate principals.  The ownership expansion deepens SMRT’s leadership in its key markets and its management team across Massachusetts, Maine and New York offices.

SMRT’s newest owners include:

Nikhil Bodhankar

Nikhil Bodhankar, PE, LEED AP, Associate Principal. Bodhankar has more than a decade of experience in specialized scientific research and practice in electrical engineering.  Since joining SMRT in 2014, he has designed electrical systems for education, government, healthcare and renewable energy clients. Bodhankar is president-elect of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) Capital District Chapter. He holds a Master of Science from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science from Pune University, India.

 

 

 

 

Kristen Damuth

Kristen Damuth, AIA, NCARB, CSI, Associate Principal.   Damuth has more than 20 years’ experience designing and managing projects for healthcare, higher education, advanced technology, commercial, and government clients. Damuth earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Miami.

 

 

 

 

Jonathan Kasper

Jonathan Kasper, PE, Associate Principal and Director of Mechanical Engineering.  Kasper joined SMRT’s Andover, MA, office in 2013.  He designs mechanical systems and manages both new construction and renovation projects for healthcare, government and higher education clients. Kasper holds an MBA from Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Engineering from Villanova University.

 

 

 

Nicole Rogers

Nicole Rogers, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, Associate Principal and Director of Architecture.  Rogers joined SMRT in 2011 and manages projects for higher education, healthcare, government and commercial clients. She holds a Master in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati.

 

 

 

 

 

Andrew Tyner

Andrew Tyner, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, Associate Principal.  Tyner joined SMRT in 2006.  His practice most recently focuses on designing and managing projects for clients in the advanced technology and higher education areas. He earned a Master of Architecture from Syracuse University Graduate School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hobart College.

 

 

 

 

Graham Vickers

Graham Vickers, AIA, Associate Principal and Director of Justice Practice.  Vickers’ experience at SMRT covers a variety of project types, sizes and construction delivery methods. He focuses on corrections design and has also worked on the design of commercial office, high-tech research and education spaces.  He sits on the board of the Portland Society for Architecture and on the Advisory Board of the University of Maine’s School of Architecture.
