The new Butler High Profile Metal Over Metal ReRoof System at Commonwealth Volkswagen

Lawrence, MA – Jewett Construction, based in Raymond, N.H., recently completed renovations to Commonwealth Motors’ Volkswagen dealership in Lawrence, Mass.
Designed by the team of O’Sullivan Architects and Summit Engineering, the project involved renovations and the construction of a new 1,100sf service drive. Work included enclosing the canopy at the entrance to the service garage and adding a foundation, slab, walls, tiled floor area, new overhead door, windows, lighting, and heating. Exterior upgrades included the installation of a new Butler Buildings High Profile Metal over Metal Reroof System and the repaving of the parking lot. All work was completed while the dealership was fully operational.

This marks the sixth project Jewett Construction has undertaken for Commonwealth Motors. In 2011, JCCI completed two new dealerships for the company—a 28,400 SF state-of-the-art Chevrolet dealership and a three-phase renovation/addition to the former Chevy facility into the new Commonwealth Nissan. In 2014, Jewett provided interior upgrades to the client’s Nissan and Honda dealerships, and just recently completed a new 2,500 SF addition to the Chevrolet facility’s service shop.
