Baltimore, MD – The Association for Learning Environments recently awarded Dore & Whittier Architects its Ed Kirkbride Award for the Lester J. Gates Middle School at its regional conference in Baltimore, Md.
The Gates Middle School won the award as the project that best illustrated a sound planning process and an effective, 21st century learning environment design. Jurors praised the project for its flexible, student-centric design and its ability to support the District’s project-based learning approach to education.
