Bulfinch Coordinates Veterans Day Event

Boston  – The Bulfinch Companies, Inc. announced an expanded commitment to philanthropy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, Bulfinch’s team came together for a virtual volunteering event with Building Impact, a nonprofit organization that designs corporate days of service and team volunteering in the Boston community.

Bulfinch is a founding member of Building Impact and maintains a strong commitment to philanthropy within its community. In honor of Veterans Day, the Bulfinch team assisted Building Impact with the creation of Winter Wellness Kits for military families.

The kits include a hat and glove set for an adult and child, a pair of socks for an adult and child, a gift card, a special bag, games, cards (Uno, Go Fish), and a note filled with well wishes.

These kits aim to provide military families with a variety of fun and entertaining activities to help lower stress. More than 25 kits were donated to Fisher House, an organization that supports military families seeking in-patient medical services in Boston.

To make the kits, the Bulfinch team gathered virtually over a video conference call. Volunteers carefully picked the items that would go in each kit and then crafted a personalized note for the family. Building Impact assembled each kit using the necessary PPE and adhering to safety protocols.

Bulfinch also sponsors Building Impact’s Virtual Holiday Toy Drive, which will enable tenants to safely and remotely donate gift cards to children and families.
