Braintree, MA – The Peabody Companies announced it recently participated in the recent Metro Housing Boston Toy and Book Drive.
Peabody employees were asked to “help bring joy to children in need” by purchasing toys, gift cards, and books for children and teens who are provided services from Metro Housing Boston. The nonprofit organization mobilizes wide-ranging resources to help lead families and individuals to housing stability, economic security, and an improved quality of life.
As a result of the Metro Housing Boston Toy and Book Drive, 129 children from 78 households received gifts during the holiday season.
“I think all who participated in this drive had as much fun selecting and purchasing items as the children and teens who received them,” said Melissa Fish-Crane, principal and CEO of The Peabody Companies, noting the pleasure Peabody employees have taken in the many notes and photos of appreciation.
