Columbia Listed Among Fastest Growing Companies

North Reading, MA – Columbia, a New England construction management firm, was listed recently among the 50 fastest-growing middle-market companies in Massachusetts by Boston Business Journal (BBJ).

“The heavily researched list includes both private and public companies in an array of industries that posted annual revenue between $25 million and $1 billion for 2016, 2017, and 2018,”  BBJ noted In announcing its selections. Publisher Carolyn Jones said, “These companies are making a tremendous impact on our local business communities and economies.”

With a volume of over $450 million in 2018, Columbia ranks in the top 10 of Massachusetts’ largest construction management firms. Its portfolio of projects spans the academic, corporate, healthcare, hospitality, life sciences, and energy sectors. Founded in 1925, the company is a third-generation firm.

The “Fastest-Growing Companies” is one of many lists on which Columbia was featured in 2019, including Largest General Contractors, Largest Family-Owned Businesses, Largest Private Companies, and Top Charitable Contributor rankings.

Engineering News & Record selected Columbia for its rosters of Top 10 New England Contractors, Top 400 U.S. Contractors, and Top Green Contractors.

“As we move into a new decade – one in which our company will celebrate its 100th anniversary – it’s gratifying to be recognized across all of these different metrics, which reflect the hard work and expertise of our entire team. My congratulations go to all of my colleagues here at Columbia, and my thanks to each of our many valued long-term and new client partners,” said Columbia president, Shaun Lover. “Company-wide, we are honored and excited for more achievement, innovation, giving, and growth in 2020 and beyond.”
