New Haven, CT – Towers/Golde landscape and site planners received three awards for its work on the Life Science Laboratories at UMass – Amherst: SCUP Excellence in Landscape Architecture honor award, BLSA 2015 Design Honor award, and CT ASLA 2015 Design Honor award.
Native stone walls, boulders, and plant material were used to extend the amphitheatre, the low point of the site, to create both a terminus to the active swales and implied streams that manage the site’s stormwater and to provide a more natural, informal seating area.
