NHS Receives $100,000 Grant

Kingston, MA – NeighborWorks Housing Solutions (NHS) received a grant from the Eastern Bank Foundation in the amount of $100,000 as part of the foundation’s Impact Grant program.

The funding will go toward building organizational capacity to further strengthen the NHS in-house special needs Property and Asset Management Program by adding staff, refining systems, and integrating services. In addition, the bequest will enhance resident well-being through formal partnerships for evidence-based supportive services.

“Everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home but expensive rentals, sky high property prices, inflation and gentrification in our area are putting many people and families under incredible strain,” said Nancy Huntington Stager, president and CEO, Eastern Bank Foundation. “It is more important than ever that we support organizations like NeighborWorks who help people access and sustain safe and affordable housing and move towards home ownership to build longer-term economic strength and equity.”
