Klein Auditorium
Bridgeport, CT – Silver / Petrucelli + Associates (S/P+A) was recently selected by the Klein Memorial Auditorium Foundation, Inc. to design renovations and additions to the downtown performing arts center on Fairfield Avenue.
OWI Contractors is construction manager on the project.
Planned interior and exterior renovations will bring the 1940s Art Deco building up to accessibility standards. Main entry access improvements and restroom upgrades are planned as well as a new box office and improved will call. A new elevator addition will be added emulating the historical context of the building.
Home to the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, ballet companies, musical ensembles, choirs, and others, the foundation recognized the need for improvements to the Klein to make its performance spaces accessible to all.
