Boston – NEI General Contracting, Inc. announced that Andy Koines has rejoined the firm as chief financial officer. He was previously employed at NEI for 10 years before retiring in December 2020.
Reporting to President Joe Rettman, Koines will plan, develop, direct, and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance. In addition, he will evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs and strategies, and regulatory action. As CFO, he will provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends as he assists the management team in developing plans and programs to ensure the continued success of the company.
With 37 years of construction accounting experience, Koines has worked in construction for most of his life. He started in the field and moved into accounting after joining a CPA firm after college.
The firm’s representatives say Koines’s return is timely, as NEI continues to expand throughout the U.S. with a new location on the way in the South.
“We are thrilled to welcome Andy back to the NEI team,” said Rettman. “Andy has a thorough understanding of all aspects of the operations of the company and industry, and how each component impacts the financial health of NEI.”
“I so enjoyed working at NEI that I have come out of retirement to rejoin the firm,” said Koines. “The company is comprised of top-notch people from top to bottom. Whether it is human resources, estimating, marketing, risk management, compliance, accounting, or construction management, I enjoy facilitating communication to help everyone be their best and to perform to the highest level on behalf of NEI clients.”
