Merrimack, NH – The Merrimack YMCA of Greater Nashua recently celebrated the completion of its renovated early childhood education center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Chapman team worked on an accelerated schedule from July to December 2025 in an occupied space to deliver the updated childcare center, which will continue to serve the community and all of greater New Hampshire. The building that houses the YMCA was built 40 years ago as a night club and shopping center. In the 1990s it became a childcare center with four classrooms. Today, it is home to the largest childcare facility in New Hampshire, and the largest YMCA childcare chapter in the country, with 19 classrooms serving the almost 400 children that are enrolled in the program.
The ribbon-cutting event was attended by YMCA officials and New Hampshire politicians including Governor Kelly Ayotte, and included letters written on behalf of Senator Jean Shaheen, Senator Maggie Hassan, and Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander.
