Westford, MA – LandTech Consultants Inc., announced that its team of professional surveyors recently completed a 3D laser scan and Revit model of an exclusive three-story penthouse suite overlooking Central Park in New York City. The 9,500sf penthouse, adjoining mechanical room, and elevator room are currently going through an extensive renovation by its owner.
LandTech completed the scan and delivered the Revit model to the client within two weeks.
While the Revit model allows the architects to develop detailed designs of the interior finishes, the ability of the scanner to acquire spatially accurate dimensions in 3D through the resulting point cloud will allow extensive millwork to be custom-crafted to demanding and discerning specifications. Accurate dimensioning in the mechanical areas will allow for better renovation planning and prefabrication, which will result in a faster project delivery with little to no impact to the existing infrastructure.
Upon completion of structural alterations currently being made on the outdoor roof deck, LandTech will return to the project site and scan the roof deck structure so that designs can be completed and prefabricated panels and finishes can be constructed.
