Amenta Emma Wins CCSU Project

New Britain, CT – Amenta Emma Architects, of Hartford, in association with Davis Brody Bond, was awarded the new 100,000sf engineering building for the School of Engineering, Science and Technology at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) in New Britain.

With a $44 million construction budget, the new facility will create innovative high-tech labs, research, instructional, and collaborative student spaces to support CCSU’s undergraduate and graduate programs in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, computer, civil (including construction management), and technology engineering.

Prominently located in the center of the CCSU campus, the new building will strengthen, expand, and showcase the university’s commitment to STEM education and technology-based interdisciplinary collaboration.

Targeted construction completion date is December 2019.
