Amenta Emma Relocates in Stamford

Stamford, CT – Amenta Emma Architects recently celebrated the relocation of its Stamford office from 247 Main Street to One Landmark Square with a Grand Opening Celebration.

Amenta Emma Architects, with headquarters in Hartford and offices in Manhattan and Cambridge, opened its Stamford office in 2010 but quickly ran out of space due to adding new clients, design opportunities, and staff.

Working with Reckson Associates, a division of SL Green, Amenta Emma was able to lease space within the historic One Landmark Square building. The new space is approximately 4,975 square feet, and enables the firm to remain in the heart of downtown Stamford.

The Amenta Emma Stamford office, which specializes in corporate interior projects, approached the design of its own space just as it would for a client. They considered the firm’s brand and image, its needs and business goals.

“It was critical that our new office have a lot of space dedicated to collaboration – both for our clients and colleagues ,” said Charles Cannizzaro, the Amenta Emma principal who leads the firm’s Stamford efforts. “There is lots of natural light, and, of course, our signature orange expressed in furnishings and finishes. We wanted the space to inspire creativity and innovation.”

Amenta Emma was attracted to Stamford because it is a viable market for Fortune 500 companies, thus a great location for corporate interior work. “Since its inception, the Stamford office has embraced the Amenta Emma mission seamlessly, while bringing the firm’s creative capabilities to new heights,” noted founding partner, Anthony Amenta.
