Vests for the Breasts Paints the AEC Industry Pink for the Fifth Consecutive Year

Cambridge, MA – In October, TG Gallagher  launched its fifth annual Vests for the Breasts campaign. The campaign, which has run every October since 2014, aims to bring together AEC professionals nationwide in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

“So many of our employees’ lives have in some way been affected by breast cancer,” says TG Gallagher’s Marketing Director, Brittany Busa. “It’s the second most common form of cancer for women in our country. We wanted to find a way to give back to the community by raising funds and awareness and encouraging other AEC firms to do the same. Through Vests for the Breasts, we’ve really been able to get this conversation going within our industry; it’s been incredible seeing the industry come together for such an important cause.”

This year, TG Gallagher  designated a day for the industry to ‘go pink’ in honor of Vests for the Breasts: Thursday, October 25th. On that day, architecture, engineering, and construction professionals were asked to wear pink either in the office or under their safety vests in the field. The goal is simple: Use pink to call attention to breast cancer and make a statement of collective support. The company in turn hopes to remind both men and women of the importance of taking preventive measures.
