Newton, MA – The Kaplan Corporation, as general contractor, has completed the first phase of a $2.5 million, 32,700sf renovation and improvements program at the Congregation Beth El Temple in Newton.
The project, which includes 13,900sf of renovations and 18,800sf of life safety and accessibility upgrades, is scheduled to be completed by February of 2012.
Key features include temple renovations, a new sprinkler system, electrical system upgrades and an elevator.
The project architect is Hajian Architects.
Phase I includes work on the social hall and phase II is concentrated on the sanctuary.
