PROCON Designer and Builder
Pawtucket, RI – It was shovels-in-the-ground again for corrugated packaging giant Rand-Whitney just months after opening its new manufacturing plant in New Hampshire. PROCON of Manchester, N.H., is the designer and builder for the project expansion.
Plans call for a 65,000sf addition to the existing warehouse located at 455 Narragansett Park Drive. The one-story warehouse expansion includes the addition of a 425sf conference room, 800sf cafeteria, and a 483sf driver’s office. Upon completion, the combined expansion and existing building will total a 150,000sf space and will function as a storage facility for the company’s manufacturing materials.
The expansion project began in September 2016 with preliminary sitework to clear the area and bring it to grade. Current work includes the installation of underground utilities concurrent with foundation placement. Steel erection will begin in mid-December with an expected completion by June 2017.
This will be the second back-to-back partnership between the two companies since completion of the 118,600sf Dover, N.H., facility in July 2016.
