Chicopee, MA – Notch Mechanical Constructors announced it recently held its 26th Annual Notch Pipe Welding Challenge.
The Notch Pipe Welding Challenge is an annual hands-on competition designed to give local high school and trade students the opportunity to showcase their welding skills in a real-world environment. The event brings together students, instructors, industry professionals, and community partners for a day focused on craftsmanship, safety, and career development within the construction and mechanical trades.
This year’s challenge featured students competing in a variety of welding exercises while being evaluated on quality, technique, precision, and overall execution. In addition to the competition itself, students had the opportunity to connect with experienced professionals, learn more about careers in the industry, and gain exposure to the type of work performed in the field every day.
Representatives of Notch Mechanical Constructors say the team strongly believes in investing in the next generation of skilled tradespeople, and that events like this allow students to gain confidence, build industry connections, and see firsthand the opportunities available within the mechanical construction field.
