ModelStream 2.0 EAM Application Launched

New York, NY – Global BIM Management Consulting Firm Microdesk, a provider of business and technology services for the design and construction industry, has released ModelStream 2.0, an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) application that provides bi-directional synchronization of assets and location data between Autodesk Revit and IBM Maximo.

The application alleviates the time and personnel resources needed to combine assets from IBM Maximo with the attributes and location data available in Revit, a process that would normally take hours of painstaking data input. With ModelStream 2.0, users can create a comprehensive digital twin before, during and after construction. The updated version brings with it a host of enhanced features like a new model administration module, multiple options for viewing models online and behind a firewall, and data export tools. Additionally, users can now utilize an asset and component data filter that simplifies viewing, tagging, mapping and filtering.

ModelStream 2.0 also introduces Ask Alex, built with Watson, an AI-driven search functionality that allows users to employ a conversational tone when querying ModelStream 2.0 to pull results from Revit and Maximo simultaneously. The AI understands assets, routes, locations, specifications and even 2D/3D model data, a first for the AECO industry. Most importantly, Ask Alex provides targeted search results rather than an overwhelming number of potential matches to speed lookup times and improve the overall user experience.
