MBC Honors Hall of Fame Enductees

The Massachusetts Buildinq Conqress (MBC) honored the three latest MBC Hall of Fame inductees – Wentworth Institute of Technology, Bond Brothers, and J.C. Cannistraro – for legacy contributions to the building industry and the community during the MBC’s annual dinner gala October 22nd in Boston.

Boston, MA, – The Massachusetts Buildinq Conqress (MBC) honored the three latest MBC Hall of Fame inductees – Wentworth Institute of Technology, Bond Brothers, and J.C. Cannistraro – for legacy contributions to the building industry and the community during the MBC’s annual dinner gala October 22nd in Boston.
    The honorees were introduced by current Hall of Fame members including Symmes Maini & McKee Associates, Walsh Brothers and the Marr Companies.
    During his opening remarks, emcee Bob Neumeier described the building industry as a $20 billion economic engine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. “In addition to employing more people than any other industry outside of healthcare and education, design and construction companies and their professional associations raise tens of millions in charitable and community contributions each year.”
·    Wentworth Institute of Technology has trained generations of leaders in the design and construction industry, and is universally admired for its community service and civic engagement. The Institute is one of the design and construction industry’s best resources for advancing practice knowledge in the profession.
·    Bond Brothers is a fourth generation-led aconstruction company founded in 1907. Based in Everett, the company provides construction services to both building and utility clients throughout New England. Bond’s positive family business culture and history of strong philanthropic support for the region’s nonprofit organizations earned the jury’s praise.
·    J.C. Cannistraro LLC is one of the largest family-owned, privately held mechanical contracting firms in the nation. Founded in 1963, they now have over 300 employees. The jury was impressed with the company’s application of new Building Information Modeling technology, with their support for sustainable practices, and for creating a new Plumbing Museum to educate students and others.
Established in 1921, the Massachusetts Building Congress provides a business and networking forum for companies and individuals in the building industry. MBC members include architects, engineers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, owners/clients, professional service providers, labor unions, and professional/trade associations within the $20 billion Massachusetts building industry. Through monthly programs, social and fundraising events, and educational forums, MBC helps members promote their business while advancing the mutual interests of all.
