Acentech: Leveraging Digital Marketing to Build Business
In our second “Marketers Make it Happen” video, we learn a bit about Acentech’s robust blog, use of SEO, and overall blog strategy from Amanda Alcamo, marketing and communications specialist, and Jeff Zapfe, president.
Acentech is a 70-person acoustics, AV/IT/Security, and vibration consulting firm headquartered in Cambridge, Mass. that has a robust blog that most AEC firms dream of. With topics varying from noise-canceling headphones, sustainable design, concert halls, cleanrooms, and more, Acentech’s blog is a wealth of information for just about anyone. How do they maintain such an expansive blog? It all starts by thinking about what questions they can answer.
Amanda Alcamo wears many hats at Acentech, and editor of the blog is one of them. Collaborating with the consultants at Acentech, she helps develop thoughtful content that highlights their expertise and gets them involved in the marketing process. When brainstorming topics or editing blogs, she always circles back to the questions Acentech can answer, promoting Acentech as thought leaders in their industry. Amanda also uses these skills as a member of the SMPS Boston Communications Committee, where she finds the most value in being part of the organization.
Jeff Zapfe has been with Acentech as a vibration consultant since March 1998. As the president of Acentech, he guides the company in providing world-class consulting services to their clients. One way Acentech continues to do this is by providing insightful information on a variety of subjects through their blog. An approach that not only helps their clients, but additionally, helps their SEO and ranks them on the first page of the Google search board for most things associated with their work.
