Manchester, NH – Lavallee Brensinger Architects of Manchester announced that Concord Hospital’s newly renovated Pediatric Patient Care Unit has received the Associated Builders and Contractors’ 2009 “Excellence in Construction” Award.
The new department provides individualized care and treatment to young, hospitalized patients. Thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of young patients and their families, the unit includes four private and two semi-private rooms, all with sleep-in capability for parents to comfortably stay with their children.
Lavallee Brensinger Architects also received the Associated Builders and Contractors’ 2009 Merit Award for its Woodlands Court project at Havenwood Heritage Heights. The firm designed 11 two-bedroom independent housing units for this continuing care retirement community, on a two-acre wooded parcel along East Side Drive in Concord. Special features of the new homes include open concept kitchen, one and 3/4 bathrooms, washer and dryer in each unit, private porches, and distinctive exterior cottage styling.
