KBE VP Appointed to Camp Courant Board

Allan Kleban

Farmington, CT – KBE Building Corporation’s vice president of business development, Allan Kleban, was recently appointed to Hartford’s Camp Courant Board of Directors. As a member of the board, he will help ensure that the camp achieves its strategic goals and that more than 1,000 of Hartford’s young people will have what the camp describes as “the summer of a lifetime.”

“Allan has been a staunch supporter of Hartford’s Camp Courant for many years and played a critical role in helping the camp implement more than $1.5 million in capital upgrades over the last three years,” stated McKinley Albert, Camp Courant executive director and CEO.

Hartford’s Camp Courant is the oldest and largest free summer day program in the country. It provides Hartford children equal opportunity to participate in recreational and educational experiences that balance fun with enrichment, while expanding horizons, instilling confidence, promoting healthy lifestyle choices, and inspiring big dreams for the future.

“His commitment to youth and community, coupled with his legal background and construction expertise, is a huge asset to the Camp, and we are proud to welcome him to the Board of Directors during our 125th anniversary season,” Albert added.

“It’s an honor to be selected as a member of the Camp Courant’s Board of Directors,” said Kleban. “I’ve been privileged enough to see how the camp positively impacts Hartford youth through the years, and I am excited to become more involved in continuing this tradition.”

Kleban leads KBE’s business development team. He was previously in private practice, specializing in construction and surety law before leaving the practice to focus his career on business development.

Since he joined KBE in 1996, he has been instrumental in developing and implementing innovative processes and systems to support the firm’s procurement efforts, all part of KBE’s long-term strategic planning initiative.

Along with Camp Courant, he is also on the Board of Directors for South Norwalk Community Center, a member of the Metro Hartford Alliance’s Legislative Affairs Committee, and a member of the Hood College (Frederick, MD) Board of Associates.

Kleban will be joining 25 other individuals from various industries and organizations as a member of the Board of Directors.
