Boston – The New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV) announced that Joseph J. Albanese, founder and CEO of Commodore Builders, has been elected chairman of the NECHV Board of Directors.

He had served as vice chairman of the board since 2014. He was a board member from 1995 until 2005, and rejoined in 2006.

He also serves on the advisory board of the Francis College of Engineering at UMass Lowell and is the immediate past chairman of the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts.

Albanese is a director of the USS Constitution Museum, the Naval Civil Engineer Corps/Seabee Historical Foundation, and The Village Bank.
