Buffalo, NY – Cannon Design is pleased to announce James R. Bones, PE, LEED AP, CDT, MIPENZ, as Associate Principal.

Bones serves as the New England operations leader, responsible for managing firm resources, to meet business, quality and client service objectives for the region. He also directs the region’s electrical engineering group, utlizing his global expertise in electrical system design and construction. Bones works extensively with national and international clients on healthcare, education, commercial and laboratory projects in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, New Zealand and the United States.

His recent work includes the 33 Harry Agganis Way Residence Hall at Boston University; the School of Management and Academic Building at Simmons College; the UMass Memorial Medical Center’s University Campus Lakeside addition; and King Faisal Cancer, Research, and VIP Complex in Saudi Arabia. Bones’ previous clients include the Blue City, Sultante of Oman and the Boston IVF Facility.

Bones earned his bachelor’s degree of electrical and electronic engineering with honors from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is a LEED-accredited professional and a member of the Institute of Professional Engineers of New Zealand.
