Providence, RI – GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., an environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announced that John P. Hartley has been promoted to senior principal.
Hartley serves as GZA’s New England regional operations officer and has been with the firm for nearly 30 years. His areas of specialization are environmental studies and remedial investigations, the development of environmental clean-up programs, and client support related to environmental regulatory issues.
Hartley’s experience prior to joining the firm includes four years serving as an engineer/senior engineer with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM), Division of Air and Hazardous Materials. He has also worked with the Minnesota Dept. of Health, the National Marine Fisheries Service, and the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography.
His professional activities include the Rhode Island Society of Environmental Professionals and numerous RIDEM Regulatory Advisory Committees.
