Ground Breaking Ceremony Held for Phase II Construction at Sullivan County Community Corrections Center

North Branch Construction, Inc., acting Construction Manager Agent (CMA), broke ground for Phase II of construction at the Sullivan County Community Corrections Center.

Unity, NH – North Branch Construction, Inc., acting Construction Manager Agent (CMA), broke ground for Phase II of construction at the Sullivan County Community Corrections Center. 

Phase II of the project will add approximately 20,000 square feet to the existing jail facility. The expansion, designed by Sheerr McCrystal Palson of New London, NH, will bring prisoners closer to release, featuring programs for in-treatment and work release.  The wood framed, 1 and 2 story addition will also include approximately 70 additional beds.  Phase II will be completed in mid 2010.  As CMA, North Branch Construction is supervising five pre-qualified Prime Contractors. The Site/Concrete Prime contract for Phase II has been awarded. The balance of Prime Contractors will submit bids October 27th.
Phase I, renovations and upgrades to the existing facility which is about 80% complete, began in late June 2009 and will be completed by year end
