Newton, MA – Construction of the new wellness center at Newton Country Day School is moving right along. Erland Construction, construction manager for this project, has worked on this independent school campus in the past on projects that include the award-winning library addition to the main school building. Compass Project Management is the owner’s representative.
The 46,816sf Wellness Center, designed by D’Agostino Izzo Quirk of Somerville, is a free-standing, four-story structure built into a sloping hillside. In addition to a full gymnasium, the athletic center features squash courts, a dance studio, fitness rooms, locker rooms, and classrooms. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2016.
Newton Country Day School is an independent Catholic school for girls in grades 5 to 12, situated on the historic Towle Estate.
