Environments at Work Oversees Office Upgrades at Bridgewater State University

Boston, MA – Environments at Work, New England’s premier Haworth office furniture dealer, announced today that it has completed the first phase of furniture upgrades to Hart Hall, a facility containing 80 faculty and administrative offices at Bridgewater State University. This first component of the multi-phase project concentrates on office space upgrades that will support the school’s efforts to hire additional faculty following its recent accreditation as a university.

As part of Bridgewater’s two-week renovation plan for refreshing offices and performing other updates to Hart Hall, the Environments at Work team was chosen to oversee the final phase of the project by installing the new furnishings. The team had to work within the confines of a scant 18-hour period in which to install the Haworth X-Series desks, storage units and bookcases and Zoom Seating on the building’s third floor. By providing additional shifts and manpower, Environments at Work was able to complete the installation within the consolidated schedule and before faculty returned to campus following a scheduled semester break.

The project will enter its second and final phases in the next two years. The remaining phases will address the first and second floors, and in total will encompass 12,000 sq. ft. of renovated faculty offices. When the project is complete, all 80 offices in Hart Hall will have been upgraded with new Haworth furnishings and Zoom Seating.

“Our experience with higher education clients like Bridgewater State University has shown us that highly scalable furnishings offer the best value for academic settings,” said Charlie Driscoll, account manager for Environments at Work. “The Haworth X-Series provides the faculty of Bridgewater State University with a durable, attractive workspace and will help to support their long-term plans.”
