Ello Recognized by Boy Scouts Spirit of Adventure Council

Conrad Ello

Woburn, MA – The Boy Scouts Spirit of Adventure Council has honored Conrad Ello with the Outstanding Eagle Scout Award.

The National Eagle Scout Association established the Outstanding Eagle Scout Award during the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America in 2010. Known by its acronym, NOESA, the award recognizes Eagle Scouts notable for their local, state, regional or national distinguished service and their commitment to helping others in the true spirit of scouting.

Conrad Ello is an architect and founding principal of Oudens Ello Architecture, which has received green building recognition through the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification process. He has over 25 years of experience managing complex institutional projects, including historic building rehabilitation.

Ello is currently a board member and vice president of the Friends of Ringgold Park, a nonprofit committed to the improvement of a vital green space within Boston’s South End. He also serves on the University Club of Boston’s Future Leaders of Boston Scholarship Committee, which administers a need-based college scholarship fund and provides mentorship throughout college to its scholarship awardees.

Ello’s scouting history dates back to the 1970s while a member of pack and troop units in West Germany and Massachusetts. In 1979, he joined Troop 698 in the National Capital Area Council. He is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow and attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 1983. He is also a retired Captain, serving between 1989 and 1997 as a reserve officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
