Donations Help Veterans

Chelsea, MA – Current economic challenges made it difficult for the Soldiers’ Home in Chelsea.to replace a faulty heat exchanger that provides hot water to some of the veterans for showers and laundry.

Chelsea, MA – Current economic challenges made it difficult for the Soldiers’ Home in Chelsea.to replace a faulty heat exchanger that provides hot water to some of the veterans for showers and laundry.

Cox Engineering Service Company and Pipefitters Local 537 donated about $10,000 in labor to ensure that the veterans needs are continually met with a new hot water system. Kirschner Associates in Middleboro donated the equipment.

Bill Mahoney of CESCO says, “ We recognize the importance of helping our veterans and providing heat and hot water is a priority. This is just the right thing to do for our veterans.”

Dan Watts, Business Manager of Pipefitters Local 537 says, “This is just one example of how we support our veterans and community.”

Robert Maniatis, Operations Manager of the Soldiers’ Home in Chelsea says,” We are thankful for the generosity of CESCO and Pipefitters Local 537 for donating their time to install the hot water system to help the veterans.”
