Worcester, MA — Cutler Associates delivered two large school projects

Worcester, MA — Cutler Associates delivered two large school projects including a $49 million new high school for the School District of Pasco County and a $13.5 million new LEED Gold-Certified Student Services Building for Hillsborough Community College.

Designed by Harvard Jolly Architects, Fivay High School in Port Richey, Florida is a state-of-the-art new
public high school built to serve 1,910 students. The 256,000-square-foot complex includes six main
buildings that house classrooms, administrative offices, a gymnasium, cafeteria facilities, and a field
house. A new culinary arts and hospitality learning community is slated to become the school’s first
career academy.

“Our team adopted the theme ‘quality reflects you’ during Fivay High’s construction,” said Rick
Lentz, Regional Vice President for Cutler Associates. “We lived and breathed this philosophy during
construction to ensure we would provide Pasco County with the best service and the highest quality.”

Angie Stone, principal of the two-story Fivay High School explains that she hopes the school can
make this mantra its own to reflect the quality of the building. “We are looking forward to building
traditions and being a school that meets the needs of the community. I don’t think we ever knew it
would turn out as beautifully as it did.”

The $49 million project is pending LEED Certification.

Considered to be the new “jewel” of Hillsborough Community College’s Ybor Campus, the new 67,000-
square-foot Student Services Building creates an icon for students, staff, and visitors to Tampa,
Florida’s Historic Latin Quarter with its impressive design that reflects the quality of the materials and
workmanship both inside and out. The $13.5 million project is designed by Hunton Brady Architects.

The new facility provides “one-stop” central student services and flexible, multi-purpose spaces. The
building is technologically intensive with interactive kiosks throughout allowing students to easily access
information. The complex is one of the few achieving Gold LEED Certification, exceeding the project’s
goals for sustainable concepts and energy efficiency.
