Manchester, CT – Fuss & O’Neill was part of two teams that received CREW Connecticut Blue Ribbon Awards on June 9 at Hops on the Hill in South Glastonbury.
The Community Impact Award was presented to Fuss & O’Neill, partnering with Svigals + Partners, LLP, for the Park View and Allingtown Green Project. Located in West Haven, this project envisioned mixed-used development surrounding Allingtown Green. Fuss & O’Neill and Svigals worked together to develop an overall vision to create a walkable village, expand a public plaza, and incorporate streetscape improvements. The project incorporated safety and amenity improvements, and has yielded green space that is fully ADA compliant.
The Blue Ribbon Award, which is chosen from all nominated projects as the best overall project, was awarded to Crosskey Architects for the Willow Creek Project. As part of this project team, Fuss & O’Neill provided master planning, site design, landscape architecture, stormwater management, and environmental services for the creation of nearly 500 residential public housing units in Hartford. The project incorporates sustainable design practices and creates residential opportunities for mixed-income residents.
