Construction Firm Announces Ownership Expansion

Worcester, MA – F.W. Madigan Company (Madigan) announced that Andrew Madigan has joined his father Fran Madigan and his uncle Jim Madigan as an owner of the company. Andrew represents the fourth generation of Madigan family ownership since the construction company was founded by his great-grandfather, Francis W. Madigan Sr., in 1937.

In addition to taking on a share of ownership, Andrew has also been promoted to chief financial officer (CFO). Since joining the company full-time in 2016, Andrew has served primarily in operations while also supporting business development in the company.

“I’m excited and honored to represent a fourth generation of Madigan ownership at the company,” said Andrew Madigan. “It is an exciting time to own a business in the city of Worcester. Our roots have always been here. As we enter 2025 with the largest project backlog in our company’s history and work on transformative projects like the Residences at Lincoln Square, we are well-positioned for continued success.”

Now in its 88th year, Madigan’s work includes projects in the corporate, educational, multifamily, industrial, healthcare and nonprofit sectors across New England. Some recent projects include Bishop Feehan High School’s Arts and Innovation Center in Attleboro, St. Benedict Classical Academy in Natick, Cornerstone Bank’s Spencer Headquarters in Spencer, and the Residences at Lincoln Square in Worcester.

“As we celebrate over eight decades of building strong relationships and quality projects, we remain deeply committed to the values that have guided us since 1937: integrity, craftsmanship, and putting our clients first,” said Jim Madigan, president and CEO. “The future of Madigan is brighter than ever, and we look forward to continuing the legacy our family started by my grandfather.”
